Noah Karrasch

Certified Level IV CORE Practitioner
Certified Level II CORE Instructor

Noah Karrasch, founder of CORE® Fascial Release Bodywork, comes from northern Missouri, attended University of Missouri, Columbia and received a BS in Education, Music. He taught in public schools for several years, then pursued a career as piano musician/entertainer for ten more years before reading Ida Rolf Talks About Rolfing and Physical Reality. This book challenged him to change direction entirely. He enrolled in Comprehensive Studies at the Rolf Institute in 1985 and received basic certification in 1986.

In 1990, during the split in the Institute, Noah chose to ally with the teachers he revered in the Guild for Structural Integration, so disaffiliated from the Rolf Institute. Since that time, Noah has been evolving his own style of work, which he calls CORE: Coaxing Order, Restoring Energy. Noah believes the body will benefit from work more fully when the client or patron feels safe and cared for, understands what the technique intends to do, and knows how they can participate as a partner.

Since 1994 Noah has been teaching continuing education classes for massage therapists and bodyworkers, first in the Midwest U.S., then in England and Scotland, Jamaica, Greece, Malaysia and Indonesia, and is at this stage semi-retired. He offers a few courses around various locations each year, but has basically turned much of the teaching load over to other instructors trained by him.

Author of six books with a seventh in the works, Noah now divides his time between homes in Springfield, Missouri and Sitia, Crete. He enjoys keeping up with the world, writing books and blogs, and becoming less and less available! At this stage he offers one or two advanced courses per year and also will present more one-day masterclasses in the future.
