Conducted by Dr Ian Tennant and Pamela Martin
PSOAS: Storer of All Stress — Noah's flagship course; if you can only get to one CORE Fascial Release course , this is a great place to start!!
In this one-day immersion we focus on the body’s deepest “super-highway” - the psoas. You’ll explore how chronic tension, trauma and postural habits are stored along this central line, and learn gentle, client-engaging strategies to coax deep change without force. The class blends lecture, demonstration and plenty of supervised hands-on practice so you leave with skills you can use the very next day.
What you’ll learn:
Core principles of respectful touch - coax, never force, breath-led pacing, and movement-based engagement.
Functional anatomy of the psoas, its six segmental “slips”, and its key relationships with diaphragm, iliacus and quadratus lumborum.
Assessment cues for spotting deep-line shortness, rotations and compensations.
Step-by-step releases
Upper psoas/diaphragm touch
Mid & lower psoas sequencing (L1-L5)
Iliacus “inside-the-spoon” scrape
Side-lying and prone QL techniques
Movement homework and stretches (pigeon, wall-bend, animal walks) to empower clients between sessions.
Practical focus
The main goal is to give you a concise psoas-centred protocol that adapts to almost any body. After live demonstration, you’ll practise in pairs, receive instructor feedback.
